Indian manufacturing industry is slowly gaining momentum from the after-effects of the coronavirus pandemic. The recent upticks in purchase of two-wheelers is perhaps triggering a turnaround for the auto sector which would perhaps support the machine tool industry business. We are seeing some green shoots of economic revival and demand for jobs of late.
The onus is now on us to revitalize our conventional business with advanced technologies such as additive manufacturing and Industry 4.0, and so on. This will help Indian industries to catch-up quickly with developed countries and manufacture products that meet global standards. Machine tool industry should use extra capacities for contract manufacturing, especially for manufacturing products that user industries are looking for. Contract manufacturing could be a new way to utilize resources judiciously over the next one year. Over the long-term period the industry needs to tap government orders as well as explore joint ventures for procuring technology.
The newsletter brings you updates on various stimulus measures/packages announced by the central and state governments. It also gives an insight into news updates, various government notifications and best practices adopted by Indian and overseas industries to combat the coronavirus pandemic. |
